The game on the bridge is a historic festival, that takes place every year on the last saturday of June on the "Ponte di Mezzo" in Pisa. Before the challenges of the districts of "Mezzogiorno" and "Tramontana" (pushing a trolley on rails to the side of the bridge of the opponents) takes place the historical parade in 16th-century spanish costume. The parade winds along the four roads that run along the central stretch of the Arno river.

Luminara

The suggestive "luminaria" of San Ranieri takes place all years on the evening of the 16th of June. The "luminaria" is a historical event in the context of the "Giugno Pisano". According to an ancient tradition Pisa celebrates with this singular lighting of wax of the all buildings of the central area along the Arno river the festivity of the patron San Ranieri on the 17th of June.

HISTORIC REGATTA OF THE MARITIME REPUBLICS

The historic regatta of the Maritime Republics is a sporting event, established in 1955, to recall the war entreprises and the rivalry of the most famous italian Maritime Republics: Amalfi, Pisa, Genoa and Venice. During the regatta four rowing boats, that represent each Maritime Republics, challenge against each other, after the historic parade.
